Mark, Krista & Gracie

I was very excited when I received an email from my old neighbor wondering if she could set up a portrait session with me to photograph her beautiful family, a couple months back! Years ago, I remember thinking I was so cool whenever I got to hang out with Krista, the older girl who was in high school when I was only in junior high. She lived across the street from me and actually had the patience to play basket ball with me on her drive way, even though I always sucked and she was always so good. (God Bless her!) As a kid I always looked up to Krista thinking she was the coolest person ever, and to be honest, I still do! Krista moved out of her parent’s house when she got married to her wonderful husband, Mark and years later had their little daughter, Gracie! That is why I was so excited to see her after so long and meet and photograph her little growing family!

For our location we decided to shoot in a rural area, so we headed north on Mound and found this cool red barn and corn field. The day of the shoot was quite rainy outside and we were really bummed, but this family is used to the rain, apparently it rains on every special day they have, and because of it they even named their daughter, Gracie Reine! We decided heck with it, we would make it work, even if it is wet outside! When we got to our location, we realized it had not even rained there! That is why it is always good to stay optimistic! “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”– Helen Keller Quote

Krista also informed me that Gracie is going to be a big sister soon!

Good Luck Krista, Mark and Gracie with the new family member on the way!

XOXO
